For people who enjoy walking, there are many small hamlets and villages that make up the area called Pylaros. Makriotika, Markata, Vasilopoulata and Drakopoulata can all be seen across the valley from Valley View Studio. Ferendinata, Raftopoulata, Logarata, Antipata Divarata etc can easily be reached by strolling along the country lanes from Dendrinata, the furthest of these being Divarata which is a one hour stroll away and just up the hill from the world renowned Myrtos beach. (see below)
For those who seek a peaceful location but within easy reach of attactions this is a perfect location, as the picturesque resort of Agia Efimia (Above) with its beaches, watersports, restaurants, bars and shops are close at hand only 3 kilometres (5 minutes by car) away, where you will also find a pharmacy, post office,supermarkets and an ATM (cash machine) plus currency exchange and many other sevices. Day trips can be booked from the harbour to Ithica and there is even a dive school!
